Thanks! In the case of the Savannah Sparrow shot, that was just the way the sky was. Sometimes when I adjust the exposure during post processing, the sky will lighten or darken. As long as it isn't too far one way or the other I generally leave it. If it gets too light I might adjust the hue slightly.

Beautiful pictures Garry. So clear and detailed. You must tell how you always seem to have that deep blue sky behind your subjects....is that from your post processing?

I wouldn't be surprised. This has been the strangest winter and Spring I've ever seen. The normal migration got off to an unusually fast start, then it stalled completely, and I just heard that some strong wind patterns could produce a sudden surge in the arriving migrants later this week. Perhaps we'll see more vagrants too.

I've been reading that the weather systems we have been having have brought in unusual birds to the area. Great siting.

We had a heron fly over the house last week, unfortunately it happened before I had the chance to get the camera. The osprey pairs at Zwicks and Station Street did some flying around so I could get some good shots. That was my first sighting of them this year, very exciting.

Thank you so much for your comment.
The shot of the Merganser was taken at Prince Edward Point It is the best birding location in this area and one that I highly recommend.
Please send us any of your photos that you need help with.
